ThreeThe Comprehensive Customised Data Product

The data product has been designed to address the following needs:

  • To be consistent with other D&B reports. It is equivalent in content to both the Comprehensive Report available via DBAI and the Electronic Credit File in DNBi. The same sources of data are used and the same business rules are applied.
  • Be easy to integrate. The data product has a user friendly structure. As with the reports listed above aggregations of data are provided and the field names, where possible, are in natural language rather than using code values.
  • To provide only the information you require. You can order (and pay for) just the sections of the data product which you desire. These sections are as follows:
    ► Company Summary
The Company Summary provides important information on a business without going into the detail. An overview of key information about the company including, where available; failure and delinquency scores, maximum credit recommendation, average days beyond terms for trade payment and the D&B Rating. Also summaries of financial information, public and legal filings, ownership and subsidiaries and basic demographic information.

    ► Identification
Basic identification information on a company including the Business Name, trade styles, national business identification numbers, operating status, activities and address details

    ► Corporate Linkage
Expanded corporate linkage allows you to more easily view and assess risk across different parts of an organization.

Corporate linkage is the relationship between different companies within a corporate family. Linkage occurs in the D&B database when one business entity controls another business entity because it has financial or legal responsibility for another business, creating a Headquarters / Branch or Parent/Subsidiary relationship.

The information in this section is updated from D&Bs global linkage database daily and reflects mergers, acquisitions, openings and closings. For additional details on recent events, please review the Special Events and History and Operations sections

    ► Predictive Scores
To more effectively mitigate risk, use D&B Predictive Scores to assess a company’s future outlook. By calculating the likelihood of business success or failure, you’ll make faster, more consistent decisions.

Where available this will include the delinquency and failure scores and D&B Rating. Also comparisons with businesses in the same industry and the historical trend.

    ► Trade Payments
This section highlights how quickly a company is likely to pay its bills in the future by reviewing its payment patterns with other vendors in the past, as reported to D&B. Payment performance is outlined relative to ageing, value, and industry groupings

    ► Public Filings
Past and present legal activities that could impact a company’s financial stability and operations. This will include insolvency processes, lawsuits, judgments, protested bills and secured borrowings and other legal events dependent upon local laws and data availability.

    ► Special Events
This section provides details of miscellaneous special events impacting the business, normally less critical that the legal/public filing events detailed in the Public Filings section. This may include press clippings, changes of name and address.

    ► History & Operations
The detailed information on the history of a company provided here includes background on the legal structure of the business, incorporation details, share capital. Also featured are details of company operations, the geographic scope of the business, and the key holdings.

    ► Principals
This section provides details of the officers and/or principals of the business. Availability of this information varies significantly between countries, from a list of principals to a detailed list of principals from public registries, with a complete list of current and previous associations, allowing you to build a clear picture of the management of the business, with any track record of success or business failures.

    ► Financials
A company’s performance and stability data can be critical when determining credit limits and lending terms. Use this section to access D&Bs 100% coverage of public company financial statements as well as the most complete listing of private company financial statements available anywhere.
  • The data product is currently available from the following European countries: Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy (including San Mario), Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain (including Andorra), and United Kingdom.
