Prerequisites for Access
What do I need in order to access the products and services described
in this web-site?
The first prerequisite is to have developers with skills in Web
Service technology. See the
Developers Guide for more details.
Secondly, access to the services are controlled via a series of ID’s
and passwords that grant access to both the service and to the various
D&B products available via it. Each web service request will need to
have these credentials in order to be accepted and actioned. The credentials
are as follows:
- D&B Subscriber Number
- 6 digit User ID associated with the Subscriber number.
- Login Identifier (typically in the form of an email address)
- Login Password (not required if access is via a Digital Certificate)
Having a valid Subscriber Number and User ID determines which particular
products are available and the Login Identifier controls access to the
Web Service.
If you do not have the necessary credentials you should contact your
D&B Account Manager to find out how the Web Service can be switched
on.
